# iShield (Buying) - When It Applies & How It Protects You
Buying safely matters. **iShield** on iBoosts is designed to protect you from payment-related risks and guarantee that you receive exactly what you paid for.
## 1. Automatic Protection – From the Moment You Pay
When you purchase an item on iBoosts, your money does not go directly to the seller. Instead, it is securely held in our iShield Escrow system. Protection activates automatically:
- The moment you successfully complete payment.
- During order processing and delivery.
- Throughout any payment dispute or resolution process.
There is no extra cost and no manual activation required. Protection is built into every transaction.
## 2. When Are Funds Released?
We understand that different items carry different risks. Therefore, iShield holds the funds for varying lengths of time to give you a chance to verify your purchase:
- **Game Accounts:** Held for **7 days** after you confirm receipt. If you forget to confirm, the system will automatically complete the order and release funds **14 days** after delivery.
- **Gift Cards:** Instantly released upon your confirmation. If you forget to confirm, the system will auto-release **5 days** after delivery.
- **In-Game Currency & Items:** Instantly released upon your confirmation. If you forget to confirm, the system will auto-release **3 days** after delivery.
- **Boosting Services:** Instantly released upon your confirmation. Auto-releases **3 days** after delivery.
## 3. What If Something Goes Wrong?
If an account is recovered by the original owner during the 7-day hold period, or if an item is not delivered as described, you can open a **Dispute**. Our 24/7 support team will intervene, review the evidence, and issue a full refund if the seller is found at fault.
